What is Harris Inlet?

Here’s an excerpt from the “It’s not just about the turtles and their pond” article:

“This isn’t just a little stream with a few trees that we are talking about. It is the most significant natural area remaining in the east harbour. … What is at stake here is a beautiful preserve of mature trees, a flowing stream, rich undergrowth and a great diversity of plant and wildlife.” (To read the whole article, click here )

The area we are concerned about is circled in red in this picture. Hobson’s Pond (the turtle pond) is at the bottom tip of the old inlet.this-is-harris-inlet.jpg
